7 AMSaturday Morning Manasota Key Road RideBicycles International, VeniceOutdoor Recreation

This group road ride follows an out and back route from Bicycles International to Manasota Key along the Gulf Coast. Two pace options accommodate different abilities: a B group averaging about 15 to 20 miles per hour over roughly 12 to 20 miles, and an A group above 20 miles per hour covering approximately 25 to 30 miles. Larger turnouts are common during the busy season in Southwest Florida, so the emphasis is on riding predictably and looking out for one another. Riders should follow traffic laws and signals, communicate turns, stops, and hazards, hold a steady line without overlapping wheels, give appropriate space, choose the pace group that fits their ability, and be courteous to other road users. Helmets are required, and front and rear lights are strongly recommended. Routes and distances may change slightly based on the group, traffic, weather, or road conditions. Plan to arrive with enough time to be ready before roll out, and note that weather or road conditions can occasionally affect the ride.
