Velo Creek Cycling introduces a new group ride held on the last Saturday of the month, starting from The TownHouse Restaurant. The route is approximately 25 miles at a social to C-level pace, and the morning concludes with breakfast. The specific route will be posted soon. Riders are responsible for their own safety and health, and participation is at individual risk. Please wear a helmet, use appropriate lights and safety gear, ride with a rear-view mirror, avoid headphones, and follow all applicable laws. All participants must complete the electronic waiver.

This friendly social ride in Sanford centers on community and exploration, most often following the Lake Monroe Loop for a scenic 28 mile circuit with occasional alternate routes to see more of the area. Distances typically range from 28 to 34 miles. Riders can choose between two average speed groups, 15 to 17 mph or 17 to 19 mph, so everyone can find a comfortable pace. A helmet is mandatory. Recumbent bikes and e-bikes are welcome. The event notice includes an assumption of risk statement and a liability waiver for participants.

Based at Avalon Park Gym, this group ride features three pace groups and flexible route lengths. The A group rides 22 mph and above in a drop format on the Fort route for about 60 miles. The B group rolls 19 to 21 mph on the Fort route with options between roughly 35 and 60 miles. The C group rides at 16 to 19 mph on the same route with choices in the 35 to 60 mile range. There is also an I-way option covering approximately 20 to 23 miles.

A group bike ride rolls out from Trek Clermont with a route chosen by the riders. Plan for about two and a half hours on the bike, covering roughly 26 to 33 miles with a mix of climbs, flat sections, and stretches on public roads. The average pace is around 19 mph, and the group stays together rather than dropping riders. Keith leads the ride. Participants must follow traffic laws and ride at their own risk. Helmets are required, and lights are encouraged.

Presented by the LSSC Foundation, the Monster Dash 5K and 10K is a family-friendly Halloween run that circles Silver Lake at the Lake-Sumter State College Leesburg Campus.
