Their latest work draws inspiration from their grandfather, lovingly called Papa, whose travels and a photo of him beside his boat Sŵn y Môr, meaning Sound of the Sea, sparked the album that shares his spirit. Built around Dana’s saxophone and Alden’s drums and recorded in London with Malcolm Catto, the music expands with contributions from Ebba Dankel on vocals and keys, Andrew Mitchell on bass, Eli Torgersen on vocals and guitar, and Salim Charvet on sax and synths. The sound is rooted in jazz while weaving in indie, pop, rap, bossa nova, and more, with water as a recurring theme for reflection and discovery. Collaborators include Mei Semones, Melanie Charles, and Brazilian songwriter Marcos Valle, who appears on El Gaucho and Friendship Is A Boat. This event is open to all ages and is standing room only.
