12 PMPoplar Creek Tiny Home Village TourPoplar Creek Tiny Home Village, RutherfordtonFreeOutdoor Recreation

This free, guided walking tour offers a look at Poplar Creek Tiny Home Village, covering Phase 1 and the ongoing buildout of Phase 2. Attendees can meet founder and developer Dedria Kolb, learn how the community came to life, and ask questions during a behind the scenes experience of creating a bring your own tiny home neighborhood on 10 acres in Rutherfordton, NC. Phase 1 opened in 2024. Phase 2 opened to new residents in September, and work continues on features such as the pavilion and landscaping. Lots are still available for those exploring tiny home living. Registration through Eventbrite is required and capacity is limited. RSVPs on Facebook do not secure a spot, and only registered attendees may participate. Please register only if you plan to attend. Parking is available only in the Phase 2 lot. Do not bring guests unless they are included on your registration. The tour does not include entry into any tiny homes because all are resident owned, and privacy must be respected; approaching homes or looking through windows will result in removal from the tour. There are no bathrooms on site, so plan to use the restroom beforehand. Wear comfortable shoes that can get dirty and eat lunch before arriving. Attend only if you are registered on Eventbrite.
