Sanders, each participant selects a dramatic or comedic piece and develops it into a refined performance through individualized coaching and hands-on practice. Over the course of the program, participants learn to choose material that fits their age and type, analyze text to uncover character, objectives, and motivation, create authentic emotional connections, strengthen voice, movement, and stage presence, improve memorization and audition techniques, and exchange constructive feedback in a supportive setting. There is time between meetings to rehearse and apply new skills. The series concludes with two showcase performances for an audience, offering valuable stage experience and a chance to present finished work. This program is free, but space is limited and advance registration is required. Consistent attendance is expected for all four sessions and both showcases, and missed commitments may result in removal from the program and could affect future audition opportunities with Carrollwood Players. Participants must provide their own monologue or script between three and five minutes, and no two performers may use the same selection. Marc S. Sanders will contact participants before the first class to review and approve selections, and scripts should be brought to the first meeting.
