At Historic Yuma Theatre, Laurie Beebe Lewis leads a heartfelt tribute to The Mamas & The Papas and the vibrant sound of the 1960s. Recognized for carrying the group’s legacy as a featured "Mama" for seven years under founder John Phillips, and honored in the California Music Entertainment Hall of Fame, she brings faithful harmonies and a true connection to the era. Her background includes touring with The Buckinghams and sharing stages with The Turtles, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, and The Grass Roots, reflecting a deep footprint in classic American music. Backed by her band, The Electric Underground, the show spotlights beloved hits from The Mamas & The Papas alongside favorites from artists such as Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, Janis Joplin, and more. The production is designed to fit a range of settings, with sets typically spanning 60 to 120 minutes and options for longer performances, and special song choices may be arranged with advance notice. The result is a nostalgia-filled experience that celebrates the harmonies, spirit, and timeless melodies of a defining musical era.
