8:30 AMIntermediate Obedience Dog Training Class - 6 Weeks - 1 Hour- $250 - 10/31/26 - 8:30amDos Lagos Park, Glendale
Designed for teams that have moved beyond basic manners and can stay focused around distractions, this intermediate six week dog training series builds skills in real world settings across Phoenix’s West and Central Valley. Sessions are one hour each and grow progressively more challenging as you move from quieter spaces to busier public areas. The curriculum reinforces core cues at a distance with both hand and voice signals while refining position changes and loose leash skills in crowded environments, including attention to Heel/Reel, pivots, and directional changes. Teams work on long line recalls amid distractions and explore advanced positions such as Front, Middle, Behind, Back Up, Weave, Spin or Twirl, Orbit, and Touch. Impulse control is strengthened through boundary work like Back, Place, and Wait, and there is focused practice on polite greetings, group walking, and leash safety protocols. Daily at home practice of 30 to 45 minutes is recommended for best results. Dogs should already be reliable with name response, sit, watch, stand, down, off, stay with a release, come, and non reactive leash manners around distractions, and they should be comfortable working near other dogs and people without excessive reactivity. Participants receive weekly location details, homework reminders, and class recaps by email and group text, starting in lower traffic spots and progressing to more stimulating environments. Pre registration is required, proof of current Rabies, Distemper or Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations is needed, and a liability form must be signed. A training packet is provided along with a complimentary treat training bag. The fee is 250 dollars, with the option to split the payment into two parts, half before the course begins and half at the end, and there is a buy one class, attend a second full class for free offer.

Take your dog’s training beyond the basics with an advanced obedience class at Alta Vista Park in Peoria, AZ. Designed for dog and handler teams that have already completed Beginner and Intermediate Obedience and show reliable responses in new settings, this program builds precision, dependability, and real-world control in outdoor environments using positive, force-free methods. Across six weeks of one hour sessions, teams refine heelwork with crisp halts, smooth turns, pace changes, and focused engagement. Handlers develop light, effective leash communication and work through rally-style patterns that blend heel positions, pivots, fronts, finishes, and clean transitions.
